Augustine
Mowa III hales from Shungopavi at Second Mesa. He is a descendant of
the Bear Clan and grew up amidst a family of carvers, basketmakers and
jewelers.
August's work is included
in the collections of the Heard Museum and the Museum of Northern Arizona.
He is a favorite at River
Trading Post where he has been featured in our Artist's Showcase.
He uses only traditional paints in his
fabulous work.
