A true relic of the Cree, this Beaded Hide Rifle Scabbard is from 1810 - 1820.  Because of its fragile state, it is incased in a handsome museum case.
It is thread and sinew-sewn onto strips of navy and red tradecloth.  The beads are pink, green, white, red, white-heart and greasy yellow.
Quite a museum piece.
