11 Years ago, the brash new

River Trading Post opened its

doors in Scottsdale, Arizona.

We decided to hold an event

around the time of the Annual

Heard Indian Market. We did.

On that first event, we had

about five artists, five visitors,

and a loud Indian drum group.

11 years later, the River Trad-

ing Post annual

Arts of Native

America Show and Sale

has be-

come one of Scottsdale’s prem-

ier annual events, inspiring

Scottsdale to feature a

Native

Arts Artwalk

that coincides with

our annual event.

The River Trading Post tradi-

tion continues beginning on

Thursday, February 27. Com-

plete with very top American

Indian Artists, a great Hopi

Drum group, and of course,

Navajo Tacos. The event will

continue thorough March 2.

Today, our annual event draws

hundreds of people, a lot of

photographers to capture the

goings on, and top collectors

from round the world.

If you are planning to visit the

Heard market, don’t miss this

classic Scottsdale event.
