Cliff Fragua To Unveil

Important New Bronze Series

River Trading Post Santa Fe

kicks off its annual Arts of Na-

tive America Show and Sale on

Thursday evening, August 21.

Visitors will have the opportu-

nity to browse the rooms of our

old Adobe gallery, meet many

of the very top Santa Fe Indian

Market artists at the Thursday

Artist’s Reception (6pm-9pm),

and enjoy food and song.

Award winning artists at the

event include Jemez sculptor

Cliff Fragua, Isleta potter/

sculptor Caroline Carpio, Na-

vajo jewelers Shane Hendren

and Amelia Joe-Chandler, and

Oneida sculptor Mark Fischer.

Over a dozen top sculptors,

jewelers, potters and kachina

doll carvers will be on hand to

welcome our guests.

Thursday evening also will

include the unveiling of an im-

portant and exciting new

bronze series,

Shawl Dancers

, by

renowned sculptor Cliff Fragua.

Thursday night we’ll have

Texas barbeque for you and the

singers from

Southern Tribe.

On Friday afternoon, visitors

will enjoy dancers from San

Juan Pueblo.

The celebration continues

through Sunday. If you’re in

Santa Fe, make a point to drop

by and enjoy the fun.

Spring

is the first of four in

Cliff Fragua’s bronze series that cele-

brates the Shawl Dancers. The series is

limited to an edition of 18. Introduced at

River Trading Post, Santa Fe. August 21.
