From the 1870's, this Cheyenne beaded buffalo hide cradle cover is designed with large paisley motif. It is lined with muslin forming baby's body wrap. A morning star emblem is beaded on the rawhide panel above the cap. The bonnet cap, with deerskin chin tie, has red and white beaded design of simple stripes with accents of green, pink, medium blue and cobalt. Excellent condition. Ex Ben W. Thompson collection.
