Edward S. Curtis (1868-1952)
created approximately 2,200 extraordinary photographs of Native America in the
largest undertaking ever of its kind. The result was a massive 20-volume
enc River Trading Post has assembled a collection of images from the various volumes, as well as a very limited number of the beautiful, large portfolio images. Each original volume image is printed on the finest paper of the day, most on a Dutch etching stock by Van Gelder. Each 5-1/2" x 7-1/2" image is printed on 9-1/2" x 12-1/2" stock. Each of the portfolio images was printed by Suffolk Engraving Co., Cambridge, Massachusetts on nacreous paper. An Edward S.
