have recently surveyed.

Today we have a top notch Nez

Perce beaded vest in our

collection.

We have this vest priced at

$2900, which we figure is a fair

price because of its exceptional

condition.

Less than comparable vests are

currently on the market for

$10,000 or more.

We don’t quite get it, and as a

result we have not been adding

many beadwork or quillwork

items to our collections.

Today, we have a nice

collection of American Indian

beadwork and quillwork in

each of our galleries, and on

Just as every thing in today’s art

market, prices tend to

fluctuate. Sometimes

dramatically.

Case in point is the market

today for American Indian

beadwork and quillwork.

We do not know what is

driving the market prices for

these items, but we can tell you

that today’s prices for quality

beadwork and quillwork is

simply off the charts.

As an illustration, the beautiful

beaded bonnet shown above

was sold by River Trading Post

in 2014 for $1800. Today, that

price would be at least double,

based on auctions and Ameri-

can Indian art shows that we

our River Trading Post website.

Our prices for beadwork and

quill work is below what is on

the market today, but we be-

lieve in providing our collectors

with these great items at prices

that have not soared beyond the

reach of our collector friends.

No other piece of American

Indian art is quite as beautiful

as an authentic piece of the old

American Indian beadwork or

quillwork.

Today, the market prices for

these items is at an all time

high.

We suspect that in a year or so,

prices will drop back to

reasonable.
